Forums & Reflections
- Forums, like workshops, also last about an hour and cover a single topic. However, they consist of a panel of 2-3 principals presenting how they have successfully addressed the topic within their schools. A portion of the time will be allotted for the panel to answer questions from the participants.
- Reflections are designed to facilitate reflective thinking on big ideas and assist participants in connecting these big ideas to their role as an instructional leader.
These opportunities may count as professional development clock hours for re-certification.
Seminars
Seminars provide in-depth training on a specific topic. These opportunities typically consist of 5 sessions (about 3 hours each) held in the evening.
Seminars may be taken for ASU graduate credit OR as professional development clock hours for re-certification.
Workshops
Workshops offered through the EXCEL Leadership Academy are intended to be brief (about 1 hour) awareness-level training opportunities covering a variety of topics.
